Everything You Want to Know Before Your First Visit
-
Momentum is a rehab-focused chiropractic practice in Orange City, FL. Every visit is a full hour, one-on-one with Dr. Cory or Dr. Amanda Sellers. You won't be handed off to assistants or techs. We combine hands-on treatment, movement testing and personalized exercise to find the root cause of your pain, not just cover it up.
-
Many of our patients tried PT and got a generic exercise sheet, or saw a chiropractor who gave quick adjustments with no real plan. We do the hands-on care and the rehab ourselves in the same hour-long visit. Every exercise is built around the activity you want to get back to. And no, you don't have to get adjusted. Many of our patients never do.
-
No. You can book with us directly. The best first step is a free discovery call so we can hear what's going on and see if we're the right fit.
-
No. Pain relief matters, but it's not the finish line. Many people feel better for a few days after treatment, then the pain comes right back because nothing changed underneath. We build your care around a clear outcome, like golfing 18 holes, deadlifting again or picking up your grandkids, and we work toward that goal together.
-
It's a plan built around a specific goal you choose, with a clear timeline and progress checks along the way. We re-test the movements, strength and activities tied to your goal, so you can see real progress instead of guessing. If something isn't improving, we change the plan.
-
Pain usually comes back because treatment eased the symptoms without fixing why they started. Weak links in strength, mobility or movement keep stressing the same area. We find those root causes and teach you how to manage them, so relief lasts and you're not dependent on us.
-
We specialize in low back pain, neck pain and sciatica. We also treat hip, knee, shoulder, foot and ankle problems, including arthritis. Dr. Cory holds a Primary Spine Practitioner (PSP) certification through the University of Pittsburgh, one of the most thorough spine credentials available.
-
We work with active adults who want to stay active: golfers, runners, CrossFit athletes, lifters, pickleball players, postpartum moms and busy parents. We do CrossFit, run and lift ourselves, so we know these movements firsthand. We build plans that fit how you actually train and play.
-
Almost never. Rest alone rarely fixes the problem. Our goal is to keep you as active as safely possible while you heal. We'll show you what to change and what to keep, and we're happy to work with your trainer or coach.
-
Often, yes. Many people who are told they need injections or surgery improve with a focused rehab plan first. Surgery is still an option if you truly need it, and we'll work with your other providers when it makes sense.
-
We start by listening: your history, what you've tried and what you want to get back to. Then we do a full movement and physical exam to find what's driving your pain. You'll get treatment that day, a clear explanation and a care plan built around your goal.
-
Every visit is one full hour, one-on-one with the doctor. Most patients come in about [once or twice a week] at first, then less often as they improve. Your plan lays out the timeline up front. You won't be coming forever. Our goal is to get you to your outcome and teach you how to stay there on your own.
-
Yes. They'll be short, specific to you and designed to fit your schedule. Patients who do them usually reach their goals faster.

Some people feel mild soreness for a day or so, like after a good workout. It's normal and usually fades quickly.
